925/510 smashers

thanks for the reply. yeah san mateo is a bit far. I might go out there in the future when I improve, but for now I'm just looking for some people nearby who'll practice with me

925 is pretty big but you have 2 of the best regions in Norcal at your disposal, with the third belonging to 415.

very true, although 10-30 min drive (most of 925/some of 510 qualifies) < an hour drive to Modesto/SF. There's apparently an SJ scene but that's kinda far too. Was hoping someone lives out here haha

925 includes Concord/Pleasant Hill, Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton, San Ramon, Danville, Walnut Creek, Sunol. Where I live I'm about an hour away from Modesto/stockton, half an hour away from San Jose, and about an hour away from SF.

In Concord you have DBR, In Walnut Creek you have Lucien and Hostility and in Fremont/Union City you have Homemadewaffles, Phil and Darrell. Also at Contra Costa College they play during school hours and you get a steady stream of people there, sometimes the San Pablo Kids come in which include Shroomed, The_cheese, Alan, Ky along with many other. If CCC is too far they also occasionally play at DVC(I would have to ask what days) but Bob$ and others are there.

Pretty much you've got a plethora of people to choose from.
