8ft Gamecube Controller Extension or any better ideas.

I need at least 14ft total from Wii to couch (GC controller6ft + extension 8ft). I tried Gamestop and also a few small Game Stores. Its so I don't have to use my dusty Gamecube anymore to play SSBM and soon, BRAWL!!!!!!!

My Questions:
1. Where can I buy a extension cable at least 8ft long? (I want 4 cables)
2. Are WaveBirds worth it? They seem expensive, no rumble, and batteries.
3. Any other suggestions?

A Cool Idea:
Wouldn't be cool if there was a 2 piece wireless set

1st piece_ A rectangular device that perfectly attaches into the top 4 GC controller ports and has a sleek flat discreet design maybe stick out like .5inch. (have to remove the Wii GC lid)

2nd piece_ A small rectangle with 4 GC ports so you can put your GC controllers into it.

I guess you would have to plug the 2nd piece into the wall or batteries.

Thank you in advance.

One I like from the Amazon is the MadCatz one

I'm paranoid about buying online. Should I be? Amazon safe? Know any stores I can go to? (I live in Westminster, California if that helps in any way)

Doggalina, how long are your cables? I know GameStop has 6ft but I'm looking for 8ft.

Which wires (brand) do you guys use? Which 8ft cable would be good? (I'm gonna buy 4 at once)

Rumble was never a big deal to me, so tht didn't affect me.

And I've replaced batteries on my Wiimotes more than my Wavebird so battery life's no problem. And there's no lag, despite what the superstitions are.

I've got a new Wavebird packed away awaiting Brawl ^_^

Nah, I don't want any more batteries + isn't 35 dollars for WaveBird? I want 4 controllers. But if the wii controller on its side works fine enough then I might not need them. No wait I want GC controllers to play VC and GC games.

Extension Cables anyone?

I don't think you're going to find anything better than the ones at the link Doggalina gave you. Dunno what you're looking for, really.

I don't know how long they are (if I'm really bored I might measure them...), but Amazon is very safe, but if you don't have a credit card, you're out of luck.

If you want stores, check Circuit City, Target, GameStop, EB Games, Best Buy, anything. I think most of those stores have inventory checkers online, too.
