805 Pre-Ranbat Smashfest This Thursday July 1st (Open Invitation)

Hello all! Oxnard Ranking Battle 1.2 is on Friday, so to gear up for it, we're gonna have a smashfest at the art gallery the evening before. Anyone and everyone is invited. There is no cap on the amount of people that can come because there's plenty of space, and it does not matter what game you want to play/bring (****, bring Scrabble if you think you'll have enough takers).

Smashfest will start @ 6pm and go until 11pm or midnight at the latest... I'd have it run all night if I could, but I gotta get my sleep to run brackets the next morning. It will be held at:

The primary focus of this smashfest is to practice Melee and Brawl, but we will also be playing:
-Brawl -
-Super Street Fighter IV
-HD Remix
-Geometry Wars ^2

More consoles, TVs and games are welcomed, and you can leave your TVs at the gallery overnight if you plan on attending the tournament the next day. That way you don't have to keep lugging them around back and fourth.

BUT WAIT!!! There is real incentive to go to this smashfest… we are going to have a free doubles tournament for both Melee and Brawl, and each member of the winning teams will be awarded ONE FREE REGISTRATION for the ranking battle the next day! Players who win will still have to pay the venue fee, but they will get one free entry into any one of the four tournaments (Brawl/Melee Singles/Doubles)

so i went to the ranbat location and i couldn't find it
i was stuck on east vineyard for like 20 minutes until i just parked and tried to get a hold of people
i called colin too go to smashboards and give me the number to the gallery,
but no one picked up at the gallery
then i remember the last post i saw was mio saying larry was there or something
i called fiction to get larrys number, called him, no one answered
so i called brenden, joe, festizzio, and oscar, since i didn't have dereks or mios number. i figured one of them had it or something.
no picked up but oscar. he gave me dereks number who when i called said i should probably call brenden cause he might have it. when i called brenden again he didn't pick up.

so i'm stuck in oxnard on a street supposedly really close to the venue and it's about 9:17 now, i had left 7ish.i ended up going home because i wouldn't even be there for more an hour and a half if i went. **** sucked. i shoulda just gone to dunksies or hit up fiction or Phood.
