8-Player Smash on Brawl?

Yup. You read it right.
I know it would probably take long coding work, but how feasible would it be to make Dolphin or an actual Wii use all 8 controllers (4 GC + 4 Wiimotes)?
It might take assigning characters as cheats before starting the game, but it would be awesome!

Any ideas?

this has actually been done before by phantom wings.... its horridly glitchy tho and only works with alloys and final destination i believe. i don't have the codes any more sadly or i'd share them.

The Wii's processing power might be a major technical hurdle to this.

Well, at least we know it is possible. Hope someone takes it further so that Smash 4 don't take all the attention Project M deserves.
I'd like to try out that code, though, if someone has it. :D

The Wii's processing power might be a major technical hurdle to this.
I don't have a Wii, just Dolphin and a original copy of Brawl. and it runs it impressively well (~60FPS in FHD3D), so I'd take my chances :)
