Have you ever tried playing a Wii game like Zelda or Super Mario Galaxy when one person controls the nunchuck and one person controls the Wii-mote? what if you do that on smash? what if you're doing that with each of the characters? that makes 8 players ;)

and think about it, if you can shake smash, smashing is possible, if you can jump with C and Shield with Z and move with the analog, it basically makes it a mover-hitter formation, similar to TP. and if you're synched enough and good enough, you can even play with your Wii-Mote NES style, and use the newly usable buttons as an advantage to your team while P2 is in charge of moving. off course that turns Shake smashes around - F+B = U+D and vice versa.

what do you guys think of this idea? will anyone here try it out?

R.M.B. were else?
no. two people dont share a mind therefore they wouldnt work well togeather on one controller. you can do it on your own time, but I doubt others would do it due to the frustration it would inevitably cause.

I don't know about you but in zelda it works perfectly, just as long as each side controls a specific aspect, it'll work no matter the game.

and then you can have more free buttons to make harder stuff simple. just as it's obvious player one should swing his sword when you're running towards an enemy in zelda, it can be obvious when you should attack and when you shouldn't in brawl. just takes some practice and it can be hectic and fun in the same time.

Because zelda is also a side-scrolling platforming fighter with tons of different characters and items... right?

no, because zelda is a fast paced full 3D action game that requires quick movements and quick thinking. and playing it in 2 players was extremely fun.

This is an awesome idea. My friends do this with Heatseeker, though that's 1 player. Apparently it helps them :p

lol. Just a tip if you still can't get through. On the second (or third) gap you get to, hurry and kneel and keep stabbing. You'll kill whatever was killing you.

Anyway, the 8 player thing would be a stretch, but something to do once you've exhausted EVERY sense of fun out of Brawl. Which I don't see happening any time soon.

It'd probably fun, and maybe a testament to how different or alike you are to someone else in thinking.

I think I'm one of the only people who didn't think you meant this as a serious way to fight well.

^ I didnt think that, but its just not that fun of a concept. I did this with several games like GH3 and a lot of minigame-oriented games like rayman raving rabbids (fun as hell) I just cant see playing brawl with an inferior controller and with someone else who isnt in sync with you to be any fun.

Actually, this might be a funny way of playing the game. Like someone said, two people don't think alike but if all things suddenly click, then wow, we can actually play together!

Not recommended but it'd be fun to try.

I remember trying that before, but I can't remember what game it was for. I think my friend was controlling the direction with the joystick, and I had to press some buttons really quickly. It's hard at times, because the person might not do what you want them to. It might have been a Zelda game, but I'm not sure.

Lol. That would be so fun. Me and my friend tryed TP like that it was so hard be it was really fun. Never thought of trying it with smash because of the difficulty of smash attacks but now we have shake smash then it could work.

It sounds fun, just to try. It probably won't be successful, but it's still worth a try. We'd probably do terrible. >.<

Lol. I just won't be doing it online though... ;P

Like most people here said, this isn't a replacement for normal smashing, it's just a fun way of adding more than 4 people to the game at one time. and if you do it correctly, i bet you can beat people that are worse than you like this and call it a handicap :p

That was my point from the beggining

though if you really wanna be crazy, connect a classic controller to a wii-mote, and have the other player help you by sending wii-mote signals while you are sending CC signals. not sure if that works though.

Seems like fun to me.

Most people don't know what "fun" means, so I'll help them out:

1. something that provides mirth or amusement: A picnic would be fun.
