In the original we had 8 starters. In Melee, we had 14. See how the number of starters goes up by six each times? If this pattern continues, Brawl will start with 20. If this theory is true, then every character revealed so far is a starter, except for Snake and Sonic (due to being third party, they are automatically unlockables.). Also note that there is one spot left for a newcomer on the site. This means possibly means that the next character update will be the final third party, and that there will be no more character updates after that, meaning that Sakurai will keep every else secret until the game comes out in America.
