Id is sikened, I like to be competetive (I'm diamond in league, for example) but I'm just getting destroyed. Really want to get better but don't feel im learning anything on for glory, so if anyone wants to add me and help me out that'd be great

Who do you main, and have you looked up any videos on how to play at a more intense level? What is your experience like playing? For glory can be kind of crap for learning how to play unfortunately because 90% of the time it seems like you are just going to get a projectile spammer, someone who way outclasses you or barely knows how to play at all. If you want to add me you are more than welcome to, but I am no expert by any means.

At first I tried lucina, but it was always really hard to ko people so I've been playing a lot of Diddy. In a lot of my matches I usually do well early (except when I play vs someone 1000x better than me), but I think I'm really repetitive/predictable and end up losing.

I'm also lost on recovery. I feel like other people can miss a smash move or fail a grab and instantly block or dodge whatever I do to try and punish, but when I mess up I feel like I cant defend myself for ages.

I don't like suggesting this, as most people are against this kind of practice, but play against a Level 9 CPU and practice dodging. Then apply that when you play with others.

Online isn't always the best place to develop good smash habits (as lag can be unpredictable at times) so I'd try playing with people locally you know are better than you.

EDIT: I just saw that you're having problems with Yoshi. Yoshi is a beast online, because Egg Roll and Egg Throw are hard to deal with if you're not used to them or if you have lag (stops grabbing, side stepping etc). Even then, you can still beat spammy Yoshis if you put on enough pressure.

Definitely practice in person. Or use an Amiibo. I think Amiibos may be a valuable training tool, at least in seeing where you are making mistakes.
