Super Smash BC is holding a $5 cash tournament on Saturday, June 28 at 3:00 eastern time. Below I have copied parts of the post from Super Smash BC. To view more information, such as payment details or registration details, be sure to check the link below for the full post and the official thread.
"Super Smash BC is going to host its first cash tournament on Saturday, June 28, and 3:00 eastern time. It will cost $5 to enter, and the top finishers will receive cash prizes. Most of the money will be paid out to the winners, but a small percentage will be kept by Super Smash BC and will go towards helping the site and for things such as free tournament prizes. Here are the rules for the tournament:
Single Elimination - Their will be a loser's bracket to help determine additional places
Each round best 2 of 3
4 stock
No Items
Neutral Stages (Battlefield, Pokemon Stadium (Melee), Final Destination, Yoshi's Island, Lylat Cruise, Smashville)"
"Here is an example of how the tournament could pay out. My goal is to have 32 players, so for this example we will say we have 32 players. The total cash pot would probably be $140. The winner of the tournament would receive $90, second place would receive $35, and third place would come out with $15. This was just done roughly, so that might not be exact, but it is ok for giving you an idea of how much you could win. The amount won and number of places that pay out all depends on the number of entries."
