the Milano.
"Wii U" means sharing the custom moves to the 3DS version to the Wii U. Sakurai said there will be no crossplay.

FP stands for "Figure Player".

It's just to distinguish between regular CPUs, and Amiibo CPUs.

Two amiibos are being used. Cross play has been disconfirmed.

He also said no Animal Crossing rep.

There is one scanner on the game pad and two game pads can't be used.

Also you can simply use one GamePad to scan multiple Amiibos, because scanning only involves placing it on the GamePad for a second. It need not be kept there (note how in the introduction trailer, Iwata was playing using a GamePad).

Also the AC thing was for Brawl, not confirmed info about Smash 4.

Believe what you like I guess, in this particular instance I will take Sakurai's word for it though.

Regardless of the AC rep thing, cross-play between 3DS and Wii U Smash is impossible. The games are on different graphics engines (Wii U version was created using Havok tools, I believe, while the 3DS version uses an in-house graphics engine). Both versions of PS-All Stars used the exact same engine and both versions were identical in everything but the Vita version having the graphical fidelity toned down to a small extent. Same with other cross play games on Sony platforms (like Ratchet & Clank Q-Force). And not only that, but the Wii U version does not have the 3DS stages, and vice versa.

Okay. I learned not to trust his word much anymore.

What is the please put the amiibo on the gamepad doing over there? 3 vs.1? It's suspicious that only one amiiboo per round has been seen so far.

I feel like I shouldn't have put cross play down. I think there are a couple things it could mean. The poll isn't asking about cross play, just anything in general.

Sakurai said there would be no cross play feature because both games (3DS and Wii U) have different stages. The Wii U button found in the Smash 3DS menu is just for customized characters and stuff like that.

There was footage of a Link and Wii Fit Trainer Amiibo fighting each other, actually.

The wii u option is for customization. I believe Sakurai already said customizable characters can be interchangeable between the two.

[what option do you choose:
a. Bring up a stupid point about how playable characters can't be fighting 2 amiibos, even though that's a really terrible option, almost Ridley is too big level.
b. Say "Well crap."]
