3DS Final Destination blast zones in comparison to the Wii U blast zones

So for a while I had no idea that the 3DS had different blast zones than the Wii U for Final Destination. Its kinda funny because for a while I thought I was doing the Meta-Knight Up Air strings to Up B completely wrong because I could never kill with it but I later found out that only happened because of the larger blast zones. Recently I've also been labbing Donkey Kong and thats also a character that relies on killing from the top at specific percents which isn't possible on the 3DS version. And I also have heard that some Omega stages have different blast zones than regular Final Destination.

So basically what I'm asking is if the 3DS has any Omega Stages or just regular stages that has similar blast zones to the Wii U Final Destination so I can practice on that Omega instead of the 3DS Final Destination since that isn't really helping much.

Sorry if that was confusing or if I'm actually completely misinformed lol

I believe Duck Hunt has similar blast zones in both games, but I'm not 100% sure (and I have heard from certain people in the mechanics thread that the 3ds version of the game actually calculates knockback differently which would kinda ruin that lol).

Thanks man

Actually I kinda figured out myself lol, Yoshi's Island pretty much has the same vertical blast zones

I wrote down the percents that Cargo Up Throw -> Up Air and 4 Up Air -> Up B kills Mario on the Wii U version and Yoshi's Island had pretty much the similar percents. I can just do that stage from now on.

Interestingly, the Super Mario Maker stage's blast zones are exactly the same between Smash 3DS and Smash Wii U. Why that's the case is pretty odd since Smash 3DS's Omega form non-DLC stages do have larger blast zones than their Wii U counterparts.

The Wii U has smaller blast zones in general, as you noticed with FD, but Omega forms across the same version are more or less the same. I'm talking +/- 1% to kill, barely worth mentioning.

I'm not sure about the newer DLC stages that are on both versions.

I did ask this in the Mechanics thread too but didn't get a very clear response: is it only the ceiling that's raised on 3DS compared to Wii U, or are all blast zones larger by comparison?

What we were talking about in there was that the launch speed stat shown postgame isn't calculated the same, not that attacks actually have different knockback between games. Comparing kill percents between versions would be fine.

I believe it's all blast zones but I'm not certain. I'd have to double check later if I remember to do so.

Wait the 3DS has larger blast zones on FD than the Wii U version? Huh. you learn something new everyday
Yeah I found that out myself while trying to figure out how quickly Rosalina can KO Mario at the center of the Omega form stages.
