I was playing rock band and it was vertical/ up like this |. Then after I was playing with the disc inside it fell and looked like this ---. It was on the floor so it didn't fall like off a table. Now it will not read any discs. Like I know how it may ruin the one disc in it but it will not read any disc I put inside it. I get a reading sign then Open try like there is nothing there.. I am not really sure but I think it was off when it fell or right after it fell I turned it off.

Ugh, help please..

Still on warantee? Sounds like you actually broke something inside.

But for ****s and giggles, try different types of discs. Game disks, Movie DVD's, music CD's (Does the 360 play regular cd's?...) See if it's only one type that isn't working.

But probably the whole thing's busted.

The 360 does play regular cd's, so yeah, Foe should try that out.

Surprisingly, this has happened to a lot of people, including myself. I never trusted putting up any of my systems sideways, but I guess I got lucky, because only the disc that was inside stopped working. Most likely it needs to be replaced.

Well, if I were you, I'd send it in for repairs.

The warranty is like one year from the original purchase date is 1 year warranty and three years (extended) for the infamous red rings of death.

Question: How does your system miraculously fall over?

My 360 has been vertical since launch day. No problems whatsoever on my end. No random falling, anything.

For some reason it was on top of a wire. :ohwell:

So yeah I called in and I'm getting it fixed. Thanks. :)

Its good that its getting fixed.

I had my vertical PS2 fall over on me, it scratched up my guitar hero 2 pretty bad(wired controllers for the loss).

I recommend keeping consoles either horizantal or in a place where they aren't going to fall completely over if vertical.

Has this happened to anyone else? I was wondering how much it will cost.

They take 100$ and then refund you to what it really costs.

Wow that sucks, they want a hundred bucks upfront?

Well I hope that they either refund you or that the cost isn't that much. It isn't like you went out and trashed your system or anything. Being knocked over shouldn't break a console, but then again, the 360 was pretty poorly built (good specs, but not a good internal design).

For all the good publicity MS bought with extending the warranty for the 3 red rings, this clearly looks like bad customer service.

Good luck, hopefully you get your money back and your console gets fixed quickly. Having a system break on you always sucks.

S2, do you really expect them to fix it for free when it's not their fault? I'd say it's pretty nice of them to even fix it at a fee.
