Xbox 360 by far. I basically "jumped boat" when the Wii came out and I bought a 360 because of Xbox Live - Halo series, Gears of War, Call of Duty 4, Fable 2, Project Origin and lots more. The only thing I don't like about the 360 is the price of the games (next gen tax! w00t!), the cost of a gold membership for xbox live, and the cost of accessories (wireless adapter, wireless controllers etc.).

But I plan to get a Wii soon when they bundle it with a good game (Wii sports is fun but i also want another game xD)

So in short, I would go with the Xbox 360 and Halo.

As you can see, I am a Microsoft fanboy. You also didn't mention all of the awesome 360 games like Bioshock, or GoW, or Lost Planet, or the soon to be released Assassin's Creed and the Orange Box. I bet this post is biased.

edit: Also, please educate yourself on what a console can and cannot do. Some of the things you mentioned are wrong or make no sense.

i'm really sorry chill, but bzong bugged me when he said more people owning the wii was very wrong. It's quite correct according to most sales charts, the wii is not only selling more per week, but it's total sales have surpassed the 360's.

as for the con of being more expensive, that's a con. you don't reply with your summary of "it is better". It's still a con. Jeez.\

obviously the 360 has more games for it, it's been out a year longer -_-. and several of the games you mentioned are available on the PC or will be (Assasin's Creed, Bioshock, GoW, etc.) so you don't exactly need a 360 for them.

and one of the cons you forgot is likes to fall down and die in a RED RING of failure.

I'm sorry but i had to reply to fanboyism with fact. Not saying the wii is better, it's missing a library, and i haven't been playing it much lately, plus i would like alot of the things the 360 has(downloadable demos +harddrive, headset and better online), but abject fanboyism is irratating. As are console debates, who the **** cares whether you own the better console, just buy the one you like, it's not like you'll get a medal for "proving" that one is better than the other.
