The past month or so i've been getting matched with the laggiest people on planet earth. In my play session last night only 5 of the 30(!) opponents i played against had decent connections. The rest had anywhere to 1 second to 1/4 second input lag, and some lagged the game so hard that i had to self destruct.

When checking their locations, it was often people from across the world. WTF nintendo. Please only match me with people who have decent connections, or at least give me a region option.

Thank you.

Maybe it's your own connection.

The problem is your connection, I mean... 25 on 30? Nahh. In 30 games I get no more than 6 laggy players.

I hate to break it to ya, but it's probably your connection that sucks. I have played with people in Japan, Europe, South America, and North America, and have had very few problems with any of them. I have had some problems, but no region specifically has caused me those issues. I'm afraid it's you who is causing the lag in the majority of these situations.

If it were my connection then i would have had 0 lagless matches. My internet speed is 100mbps and i have the lan adapter. I have played opponents with 0 lag, which would not be possible if my connection sucked. Stop trying to blame it on me.

The wii u caps mbps to like 10 or highest 20, You will not get 100MBPS on a wii u, adapter or no adapter. you should run a speednet test and post it here

We're not nintendo, Telling us to fix the game is pointless, You should write a letter to nintendo if you truly feel like this needs fixing.

This. I am in the same boat - great connection with LAN adapter and I do get laggy matches a lot. But it's maybe 6 or so out of 20.

yup, I don't experience that many laggers, The worse kind of lag I get from people in different countries is input delay, But the match overall is smooth.

people gotta remember, not everyone who lags have 1 dollar corner store microwave wifi internet, Not every connection connects well, some just connect bad with eachother.

Exactly. There are a lot of variables with networking and I'm speaking from professional experience as I've been working in IT for 12 years. I do hate input lag though, but it could be worse. If I'm lagging, I usually feel/hope the other player is also... so it's back to even.

It could also be your router's configuration that is slowing things down. Quality of Service configurations and Port Triggering can make a big difference on your experience. I was able to get about double the quality out of my connection just by making sure my QoS configuration wasn't giving priority to my laptop or cell phone when they would auto-ping for updates. If you live with other people, even with a LAN adapter, your router could prioritize bandwidth to other machines because video game console P2P connections aren't the default priority.
