3 Stock Matches?

Just a random thought that occurred to me. Since the general consensus is that characters are staying alive at higher percentages and living longer in Brawl, maybe 3 stock matches would be better for competitive play?

I haven't played the game, I'm not pretending to know everything about it, and I'm not tell people what to do, it's just an idea that I thought I'd toss out there.

I remember thinking this when Gimpyfish gave us all the EforAll info. Seeing the vids now, I think it's plausible.

Yeah I dunno.

4 stock is nice in case a player makes a mistake. And I think that in online matchups and friendlies it'll probably still be standard.

But for tournaments, who knows. In Melee we already have enough trouble finishing tournaments on time. If it takes much longer to play rounds in Brawl, I'm guessing tourney directors will have no choice but to go 3 stock if they are under strict time constraints.

I think part of the reason for lengthy 1v1 vids now is the fact that it is a new game and will take some getting used to. People are still inexperienced with the new flow of battle and the new characters. My guess is that the battles will speed up after time passes, but the stock count is still something to keep in mind. It shouldn't be at 4 simply because it was like that in Melee. If it stays at 4, it should be because the community decides that it's best for the game and the players.
