Kinda pointless. No skill shown. And u gotta alter your playing style so it wont really train you but congradulations, ur one of the first people not to use that info to claim that you can beat anyone. GG.

I am good when playing my friends, but I can barely kill a Samus and a C. Falcon teamed against me with Fox.. Seeing one person against 3 comps is just madness. : /

Nop. That's just grouping. And they each take up hit boxes that could have all been used for just one. It just dosent help. Unless you specilize in doing this all the time, it dosent matter.

Beating 3 9's is somewhat of a big deal but it doesn't nesicarrily mean you'll beat somebody that can't do that. Beating 3 9's just means you know some good skills and MIGHT be a good player, or you might not be.

Im talking in the majority aspect. Most people who claim they do this is because its all they do all day. The AI abuse runs rampid. If you knock a CPU from its third jump recovery, even though it can, it wont use the third jump again. I could list many cpu flaws but I wont. I am envious of those who can do it with skill, but to apply it TO skill is wrong. I played my sister, and for some reason, I did not feel as confident then when I played the comp. Im just saying that it shouldent be the direct route to gloating. Ive probably just repeated many things already said.

I still can't beat 3 level nines unless its built around me using some technique like DK at Saffron. But at the same time a single computer has a distinct, predictable, unchanging playstyle. In some moments (this is the only reason level 9s can't be beaten with ultimate perfection) they are programmed such that you come at them with any aerial move and they just use a tilt and out-prioritize you. This is especially true for CPU Link and CPU Falcon.

But I still think 9s are good for practicing combos. They have... spontaneous DI.

Hey, I'm new to this community, and I'm wondering what the general skill level here is. Is it considered "good" if you can beat 3 lvl9s with your character having a handicap of one (3 stock mode)?

fighting against a team of level 9's won't necessarily make you a stronger 1v1 player. all bots have set strategies and tactics that don't adapt; any observant player will pick up on them after playing against a computer for long enough. when playing against a strong human opponent, they will adjust their strategy based on where they are, what percent you're at, the criteria are as diverse as the options. at some point, fighting computers just becomes an exercise in edgeguarding.

i'm not saying it's easy to do, because it honestly is not. it's a real challenge, and it's impressive to accomplish. but if you get in a match with someone who knows what they're doing, you won't often be able to get something out of fighting against bots.

comps < newb

because honestly, even a newb would know what to do in certain situations where a comp would simply fall to their death. plus comps are more predictable. if you just stand there, a lvl 9 will sometimes just roll back and forth in front of you to the back of you then back again.

I have seen some impressive vids of people beating 3 lvl 9's and this was something I used to be able to do until I started training for real. I thought i was so good kuz i could beat three lvl 9's. but then i played with some people who knew what they were doing in ffa and got my *** handed to me. from that point forward i started training for real (like learning to short hop) and thus beginning my glorious year of competitive smashing
