Same issue.
I tried fiddling with my connection settings, and got weird results. Whenever I manually enter the info, the connection test just never stops. It perpetually says "testing connection..." Then, if I used auto-obtain to set up the info, it says "connection test successful, would you like to update your Wii," and then it starts updating, only to say there are no updates available. I've never had this issue before with the interwebs on the Wii. Also, I have custom music on my SD card, do I need to have 100% vanilla PM for it to download?

Same issue here. Really don't feel like doing a manual update.
