20XX rom?

I'm trying to get 20XX on my modded Wii (homebrew channel with Nintendont) but all of the guides I'm finding involve a memory card in some way, which I don't have. I swear I remember there being some way to patch a rom with 20XX, could anyone point me in the right direction? Or am I a stupid?

You only need an SD card. You put LetterBomb there and use that to install Homebrew Channel, Priiloader and BootMii.

But it seems you have HBC already. So all you really need to do is put the 20XX iso under /games/GALE01/game.iso and load it with Nintendont.

Although I personally always extract iso.hdr with GCR, rename the game code to, say, GALE40 (for 20XX 4.0) and import the modified iso.hdr so I have separate savestates for all iso revisions. But I guess that doesn’t matter to most.

Nintendont can emulate memory cards. A comprehensive guide to Nintendont is here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/nintendont.349258/

There are two different and unrelated mods with 20XX in their name. 20XX tournament edition (20XXTE) exclusively runs off a memory card. The 20XX training hack pack exclusively runs off a patched .iso. You may be getting them confused.

Just download the 20XX ISO. Then import it into Nintendont in the folders
Root>games>20XX>Game.iso

Name it as Game.iso, that's important.
Plug your SD card in, open Nintendont. Turn on Native Control (and spoofing, I guess /: )

Select Super Smash Bros Melee (GALEO1 I think it is). And you're done.

Where can I find the .iso? The 20XX website gives me a download for a .gci save file.

There is a link for the game files. Download those. Then get GCRebuilder. Use GCRebuilder to rebuild those files into an ISO. Then so on.

How do you change the game code in GCR? I wanted to do the same when I made my 20XX iso but the window with the game code was uneditable.

Oh, I forgot to mention that you change the code by editing the iso.hdr file with a hex editor. It’s the very first word in there.

Thanks. I simply edited the .iso file directly with a hex editor instead so I didn't have to rebuild it. It's the first word there too.
