20xx melee on CFG

Hey guys, i just got set up my melee setup, but i have one problem; when i load melee from CFG it takes FOREVER (like 5 minutes or so) to load stages, menus etc. Does any of you know how to fix this? (I put 20xx on a usb 3.0 stick, and chose optimised format in DMtoolbox)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you're using USB, doesn't it have to copy to your SD card first and then run it from that? Pretty sure that's going to rely on the speed of your SD card and such.
SD Card speeds on the Wii make no sense to me though. A friend of mine brought his SD card that's Class 4, and it loads faster than my Class 10 card. What gives...?
