2 stage problems

I've been working on 2 stages, and I encountered problems.

My first one, the more urgent one, is that on one of my stages, one of the textures is being used on every single surface. Just to clarify, I used all RGB565 and RGB5A3 textures. I really need to know how to fix this.

The second, is that a stage I made, basically Battlefield over Jungle Japes, is freezing. I have no idea why. The file size is only 1500 kb, for one thing. I did replace some models in it, and shrink some into oblivion, but I don't think either of those would affect it. Any ideas?

#1. They gave a suggestion, but it didn't help. They were talking about paletted textures, and none of mine are paletted.

#2. Ooh. 629 kb's. Dangit. How would you suggest to crop that down a bit? I deleted all unnecessary textures, it's probably the extra models taking up so much space. I suppose I could shrink some of the battlefiled textures, although I'd prefer not to have to.

EDIT: Ooh ooh, could I replace some of the useless extra models with the 'static' model perhaps?
