I have been playing with Lucas for about a week now and he is my main if any of you wanted to know. I recently learned to air dodge-grab which helps alot. Dash dancing and pk waveland are also two important techniques. But combos are something different and i found two that could really help.
The first is a defensive comboish (like my new word
) attack. If the opponent is someone with no range like ike or marth is chasing you, i found that you can run to the edge, auto rar then ff to a tether recovery. With no lag you can jump right back up surprising the opponent; maybe even getting behind them. I tried this against a level 9 computer because i don't have any friends
and it worked perfectly. They chased me until i tether recovered. Then i jumped into the air and daired him. After that there were many openings that were created by this tactic.
The next one is also a defensive comboish attack. When or if the opponent is chasing you away from the edge, jump fully (no sh) and pk thunder up and around you until hitting yourself in midair. The opponent will do one of two things after you jump: either they will jump after you or stop and stay on the ground. If they jumped then they fell for your manuever. Just hit yourself perfectly horizontal and and you do a pkt2 hitting them. If they are on the ground just aim diagonally until hitting them. I find this to be useful as a mind game and as a freakishly strong attack.
I cannot put videos at the moment because i do not have a camcorder unless it's my phone.
