Where everyone always wins.
Write, share, and critique stories in exactly 100 words. Great if you have some time to kill, or are feeling a bit creative.

---

He woke up, dizzy, on the floor. A long, muscular tail protruded from his massive rear, and several dozen dagger-like teeth rested in his jaws. He was at least 40 feet long, and scaley.

Getting up proved extremely difficult to do, as his arms were now comically small in comparison to his body. After several minutes, he finally managed to get on his giant legs and look in the mirror.

"No," they had always said to him, "you can't turn yourself into a tyrannosaurus." They ridiculed him, humiliated him, drove him mad. But he did it.

And now, he was hungry.

Here we go, then, another story in 100 words, except this time I have departed from the norm somewhat and gone for poetry rather than prose with comic rather than serious undertones.

Hope you enjoy :o

First Cut

hairdressing scissors

Toni Blain was seventeen

Her world revolved around glamour.

She changed her face, her hair, her clothes,

For fashion, she did clamour.

She hated school, she left last year

And lived a life of ease.

‘Til her parents demanded more from her

Than 2 measly GCSEs.

So Toni, keen to live at home,

Went off in search of work

And found a little hair salon

Where chit-chat was the perk.

And so she trained and gained

Respect whilst frothing in shampoo,

Til they let her make her first cut

And she drove the scissors through.

We built a fire in the woods, camping alone. Joe and I were eleven, and Richard was leader because he was a week past twelve.

“Let’s light it with a flint,” Richard said, once the wood was heaped. And we tried, despite our shivering bodies – then resorted to matches.

We whittled sticks, snapped childish experiments. Joe produced rolls of floury bread and a fat packet, wrapped in greased paper. We strung the bacon onto green sticks and charred it crisp.

No-one said organic, local produce or luxury range then — but sixty years later, I’ve never had a better sandwich.

"What do you mean theres something outside?" I asked my younger brother.
"I mean it"
I sighed, no matter how many times I told him, theres no such thing as monsters or magic he always claims he "saw" it
"fine, if your quiet we can sneak out and take a look ourselfs...." I told him.
Silently, we sneaked down stairs and got the keys and opened the front door.
Suddenly, his eyes turned red "foolish child...."
"D...david?" I said, backing away, only to find myself falling back into the darkness that crept up on me
"Enjoy your new life...." the "thing" said.

thats about 100 I hope :p
