While the alphabetical theory about the icons are deproved, the icons are still seperate by which game their franchise was introduced into. G&W's icon will certainly come inbetween Ice Climber and Fire Emblem.

3. Ness

While there are different opinions about this, Ness is bound to return. Lucas didn't make it into Melee because his game was cancelled, and to this day his game still is canceled. If there's any hope for Lucas, both of them will be in. This is debatable.

4. Sheik

The Zelda designer admitted submitting Shiek's and Ganondorf's designs to Brawl. While they obviously won't end up as Assist Trophies (Ganondorf at least) there are doubts.

Same reason as Sheik.


In my opinion, all non-clone characters will return. (Luigi too) There's really no reason for them not too besides "i don liek him". A moveset being excluded from Brawl is like a slice of cake missing; It isn't complete.

It was just concept art, it doesn't have to even be in the game. They probably have plenty of concept art that will never show up in the game.
