IT DRIVES ME NUTS and RPG's are known for it. I used to try and beat a game through on my own and then go online and see what I missed and it's usually a LOT. And i'm sure nobody does this anymore right? You absolutely NEED to consult a guide to make sure nothing is missed, right? But how do you deal with the back and forth "look at the guide, look at the screen, look at the guide, look at the screen, if you progress to a certain point then this unlockable is no longer available, OOPS"? Because I've given up on it. Although some games have made it a little easier (I feel like Ni No Kuni listed all its sidequests on the menu IN game, which was cool).

>Because I've given up on it.

That's my go-to strategy, to be honest. I've stopped caring about 100% a game, at least on a first run through. Sure I'll 100% some of the quests if they're neat (Stellazio Coins in Final Fantasy 9) or certain other things (getting everyone all of their abilities, again in FF9), but I'm not going to stress out because I don't have every class (beat Bravely Default without the final one) or miss a bunch of sidequests (Xenoblade).

Good to know. Sometimes I feel like everyone is completing 100% and they make it seem kinda easy, not the monumentally frustrating task that it is. (I just wanna GAME not RESEARCH dammit!) I havent even gotten to Xenoblade yet. Still sitting on my shelf.

For your own sanity, DO NOT try to 100% that game in a single run. It will only end in tears.

TWEWY is complete hell to 100%. I only know two other people with a copy of the game, one I bought him the game for Christmas, and I don't even know what happened to the other.

My buddy ended up 100%ing TWEWY after a good week or so of playing it pretty much nonstop; I think that's the only game he's /ever/ had the patience for that kind of nonsense in.

Did he have a friend with the game too? Certain pins only evolve from PP from meeting other players.

... er... Well, maybe he didn't 100% it. I'll have to ask him sometime about that, since the save file is long gone. (and even if it wasn't, i have no idea which of the many boxes of stuff that particular DS game is in)

The World Ends With You, probably one of Square's most unique games after they merged with Enix.

Also one of the few modern JRPGs that isn't (to my knowledge anyway) the Shin Megami Tensei/Persona series.
