  • Palutena's up-tilt is really good against big bodies but really bad against pretty much anyone else.

The hitbox isn't great and so many people just fall out of it. It's not even that good of an anti-air since it's so slow and many people can beat it out with their down air. It's a multi hit too so that's not exactly a trade you'd wanna risk taking. I really only use it for covering ledge options against aforementioned big bodies.

The only positives can I see about this move (which don't outweigh the negatives) are that it's "disjointed" (yes, I put quotes cause it's a very underwhelming amount of disjoint), it can't rebound/be cancelled out by another attack, and its hitbox (although mediocre) has a lot of active frames. Also, it can kill at super high percents but it's definitely not her strongest kill option.
Today I learned on FG that you can survive (Dark) Pit's dash attack past 300% if you DI down. Maybe this character's a bit too honest?

Was it stale and also on the opposite side of stage with launch?

No, it was completely fresh. He was about 1/4 of the stage's length from the right ledge and I hit him towards the rightward blast zone. He was Cloud with no limit charged and it was on Omega Orbital Gate Assault.
Holy **** I've been neglecting Palutena's back air… Frame 3 body invincibility? Yessir!!
I wish if Palutena's neutral special didn't lock on to anything it would just shoot the bullets straight forward.

It wouldn't be broken by any means and it'd really only work on tall or airborne opponents.
I think Palutena's the only character who can counter an aerial reversed Warlock Punch & NOT have it OHKO.

I mean I'll gladly take the damage but unless it's a super obvious punish (like that one), I just pretend Palutena doesn't have a down special.
Despite her flaws, Paluetna is quickly becoming my favorite character in Smash 4.
    Palutena's counter is gutter trash.

I really wish Lightweight was her default down special. It seems like her slow frame data was all balanced around that move (similar to Shulk's slow frame data being balanced by his Monado Arts)
IMO Ganondorf has the worst grab (& grab pummel) in Smash 4, but ironically his forward & down throws are amazing.
DK takes so much patience to play as. He's like the Zangief of Smash.

It's so hard to approach as him. You don't wanna go in the air cause he gets juggled for free & on ground you really only have dash grab. Dash attack & JC up-b are good sometimes but they're unsafe and simply get canceled out by most jabs & projectiles. Once you get a grab you have to make it count, but against anyone who knows the matchup it can quite literally be hell.

On top of that he has the largest hurtboxes of any character and his hitboxes are not as big as they should be. Once he's cornered, he really struggles to get out of it. Can't roll past, can't jump over and can't run through. He's just too big of a target and has almost no options to make you respect him.
I'm not saying he needs a buff or anything, but Marth doesn't seem like he has as much range as he really should...

Switching from Melee marth to Sm4sh Marth can be really hard thanks to that, sometimes I attempt to punish no tech and im like an inch away from hitting a tipper :V

For real... It's almost like playing a completely different character.
Duck Hunt's forward smash is really cool. It can be useful for ledge/landing traps since the longer you charge it, the more range it gets.
Which of these would be the most fair buff to give to Pac-Man? Adding 2% damage to all his moves or giving all his moves 15% more knockback?
    Chike
    Chike
Keep in mind that his fruit never gets stale. They'd consistently deal 2% more damage than they do now. Also, he'd be able to launch his fire hydrant a lot easier. However, if Pac-Man had the knockback buff he could be super scary with rage and things like back throw and nair could seal stocks more effectively. Plus, other opponents wouldn't benefit as much from rage when facing him.
Shulk's ledge and get up options don't seem as good as some other characters'.

His ledge and get up attacks don't have as much range as they should. They seem shorter than other sword characters such as Cloud and Link (which is a shame cause Shulk relies on melee range). Also his ledge roll animation is very easy to intercept. Most characters start rolling onto the stage with intangibility, but Shulk doesn't seem to start rolling until all the intangiblilty frames are already finished.
    Falco's a cool character, but in Smash 4 he's a joke lol

Hes actually pretty decent, mid tier at best if you use his tools correctly, also his back air is fast strong and has low landing lag.

True. As far as viability goes though I still think he's a joke. He has to work much harder than a lot of the cast for less reward.
I love playing as Shulk. If only he could autosnap the ledge with his recovery…
Why do Marth and Lucina have so many blind spots in their grounded attacks…
Smash 4's teching mechanics really make me question Nintendo's decisions when designing this game.
To clarify I like watching Bayo, but I still dread playing against her... Still learning the MU and how to counter her.
Everybody seems to think watching top tiers is boring. While I do like character variety I still enjoy watching top level action (even Bayo)

Just salty people who think its easy to play as top tiers so they label it boring to make themselves feel better.
I hate playing against Bayonetta's, but I also strive to learn how to counter them.
Another day, another salty loser reporting me on FG. Now I can't find any matches… Ugh.
So CPU's in Smash 4's All-Star Mode can't attack each other, yet they can footstool to save each other from death... WHY SAKURAI?!
After being banned for FG for a week & 1/2, I learned it's not worth it to quit mid-match. Just deal w/ the trolls/lag then hope for better
Just spent an hour & a half on the phone with Nintendo about getting me unbanned from FG… Turns out they didn't know **** about ****.
