The origins of Megalovania aren’t really a secret, so I’m sure they do. TBH Nintendo probably doesn’t really care: They only get ticked off at stuff they feel will compete with one of their own products or stuff that touches one of their top franchises. Earthbound/Mother stuff is of no concern to them ‘cause they could honestly care less about that series.
