Thanks; as far as more Lucas info, it depends on what you would like.

The only info I can think up off of my head to share rigbt now is that after a lock at low percent, Lucas can land a falling up air that true combos into a pivot grab.

Oh and Lucas can also frame cancel his fair on landing if he hits with the sweetspot right before landing. All I have tested so far out of that is confirmed jabs.

Lucas can also get rid of Luigi's fireball wall pressure with magnet cancels. When a projectile connects, he can roll, jump, or spotdodge to cancel the endlag. Jumping and choosing to throw a PK Fire, Zair, or Fair if they are close, or simply an empty can apply pressure and fear.

Ness can do the same too.

Who do you think wins the match up better with Bayonetta and why?

I'm sorry, I cannot answer that question.

I lack knowledge on the Bayonetta match-up besides the few tidbits I have already shared in the V4 thread. I also lack any offline experience vs. a Bayonetta so I do not think I'm the right person to ask.

I'm not a fan of proclaiming thatmy character wins/loses a matchup nor do I like giving out match-up number ratios or tier lists.

Welp I got nothing.

I could refer you to the Salem vs Mekos match, where I think Mekos wins but that will not tell you the full story. Or I could try to find a Bayonetta match that I did an analysis for a Bayonetta player.

Really the only information I believe is when a Lucas main talked about his time fighting Captain Zack at his local (they are from the same region) and to me it sounded like he lost hard.

There was a VOD of the match but it was only on Twitch so it is gone now.

If you're trying to choose who to main to deal with Bayonetta, you can try your hand at both characters in the match-up and see what works for you.

You can ask the question in the V4 thread to try and get a response from the Ness mains or ask the question to everyone to try and get others opinions on the matter.
