In all honesty I dropped Isaac in favour of Rex and Pyre since they seemed more interesting and relevant since Golden Sun looks to be dead for now... also Xenoblade is the biggest rpg series that Nintendo has, which ia growing constantly (2 outsold both the original and X in Japan in their rescpective first week), so I decided to be generous with it.

Just out of curiosity, what do you think of my roster? (I updated it about an hour ago in case you haven't seen it)

Besides all the characters that I also added, Hades and Andy are awesome addition! But I don't really care for Waluigi or Rayman. I also don't think Shovel Knight is big enought to gain a spot (but a Mii costume I belive is possible). Finally, I still think that Ridley can't fit into the roster because of his several issues.

Overall I would rate it a 8.75/10
A solid roster but with some characters I don't care and some others that I want, like Elma and Bomberman missing.

For Shovel Knight, I personally disagree about him not being big enough. His game is still popular and relevant, and it has four amiibo, which is way more than any other indie game, plus he has cameo appearences in other Indie games.

As far as Ridley is concerned, I really want the controversy around him to end (some people are really toxic about it), and I feel that he can work if he gets a new design. But I understand why you think he wouldn't work.

Shovel Kight is surely an icon among indies, but still he is very minor in gaming as a whole. All the 3rd party characters had a rich history in gaming, with the exeption of Bayonetta, who is still a bigger franchise than SK and got in because of the ballot. Also another problem with SK is that Yacth Club Games isn't in Japan/ don't speak japanese, which makes the negotiations and supervision a lot harder.

Ridley with a new design might be very interesting, but as for now I don't think it can work. Even all the mods I've seen of him are either ridicously small, or completely broken moveset wise. I don't want to hate the character (I quite like him in the games) but I can't really see him working as for now.
