At least poutine is actually a tasty dish. We have a diner that claims to sell authentic poutine and while I don't know how the original tastes, this stuff is actually damn good.

Maple sirup was on my last bacon burger, but I don't think that'll become a regular choice of mine, as I like my bbq to be less sweet.

I actually have not had poutine myself in over a decade. Poutineries are common around here (as you'd imagine), with all kinds of flavours. I keep saying I will visit them, but I usually end up going for sushi or a burrito.

That said, it's really hard to get a poutine wrong. I can't imagine a difference between "authentic" and inauthentic poutine being any less different than any two poutines here. Just throw some cheese and gravy over some fries and you're done.
