As for Blood Falcon, I thought it'd be fun to put a new spin on Captain Falcon's moveset – namely, he "boosts" in a direction with every attack. It opens up new combos, but can be hard to control, mirroring how in the F-Zero games, his vehicle has high boost power but poor handling.

And yeah, I did see your post. Saki and Tiki seem like odd picks (but I'm not familiar with Fire Emblem), but otherwise I don't mind any of the picks.
