My roommate is a hardcore Mewtwo main. Even plays him in Melee. I do think he's a cool character, but I'm not dealing with the angst and salt that choice would bring. No sir.

That would be the problem actually. He'd just get all sad cuz he put all this work into his character, this guy beats me with less effort, he doesn't even like the character, etc. Rather have a friend than play Mewtwo, in this situation.

Honestly, the problem is that you're expecting joy for the game to come out from your character pick rather than interactions in neutral. When you're really used to a character and know to look for CONDITIONING in neutral you'll find that the strategic depth of the game really opens up

Well the only tip for mewtwo I can really give is that you really should let his weight warp your decision making. A lot of mewtwo's (including me) used to and sometimes still are letting his weight prevent them from getting offensive.

you think so huh? People would criticize me for saying that cause I'm biased. I do think he's capable of beating any character on the roster.

I think his sheik matchup is actually better than most of the cast too, I'll post about that too

footsie based characters don't do well vs. Sheik, how can you play footsies against a character who dominates at both close and long range?

But he's got a solid matchup vs. most of the cast
