When I first played Birthright and I saw Elise and Camilla, all I could think was "I can't wait to get to Hoshido".

And then they show up again anyways which I expected but Elise uuuuuuuuuughh >:(

Not gonna lie, part of why I decided to pick Birhtright was that I was sure Camilla and Elise would make me cringe. Most of the female cast present in Nohr kinda convinced me to lean to the other side.

Yeah. In generally Nohr got the more eccentric characters, for better or for worse. I did enjoy a fair share of them like the oh-so-popular Niles or Arthur, but characters like Nyx and Peri were an eyesore. With the latter, she is the best cook you'll have barring Jakob and Perci so you may have to get used to seeing her.

Hoshido has some poopies too like Hayato but I think I prefer the more "boring" personalities since they don't induce cringe or wear down on you over time.

Pretty much felt the same way, not to say I fell in love with Hoshido's cast, but at the very least, most didn't get on my nerves. I hardly remember the supports of most characters in Birthright as they were just kinda there, but when I read the non-royals in Conquest they all pretty much feel the same

like Peri being obsessed with killing, or Charlotte trying to teach other girls how to be a "proper woman" or act fake just so she's told in the end she should be herself. You read one from them, and you have experienced them all. A good chunk of characters are pretty much how you think they'll be based on looks alone, which I consider a problem.

Not gonna even bother counting the Awakening children as they felt like lazy fanservice additions for the sake of not creating another character and riding on Awakenings success

On a side note, I tried visiting the castle adress you posted only to get an error...oops?
Hong

Probably because my data is associated with a new castle address. I've started two new files since I posted that, after all.

You and I should be 3DS buddies anyway, you being my favourite vassal and all.

I don't love you Bruce Banner, because of your anger issues

So how's Revelations so far?

The story is the best of three and you get the most variety in every degree. It is marred however by a severe lack of refinement. I'm sure you've heard of a badly designed chapter or issues with the stats assigned to units when they join.

It has been a while since I watched a japanese playthrough of Revelations, so I have trouble recalling any other somewhat dumb design choices like the ice gimmick. I did read about units joining too late for their own good though, kinda reminds me of all the new characters New Mystery of the Emblem throws at you that have like no use at that point.

Don't forget Radiant Dawn part 4. :urg: It's not even just joining level; sometimes the base stats are so messed up. As I mentioned in the Fates thread, Oboro gets a massive bonus to HP base which makes Hinoka more or less just a higher res, inferior version of her that will join when Oboro is already promoted.
