I can't begin to tell you how frustrating it is to solidly outplay someone in bracket and then not be able to get the KO and die at 75 and lose the match.

If someone gets solidly outplayed for most of a match, (s)he may think that reflects the actual matchup and consequently attribute the final kill to luck/clutch factor/choking instead of character limitations. (If this is right, then perhaps the same people will underrate Lucario for mirrored reasons?)

Nice way to look at it. Didn't consider that, but I guess it would make sense.
But if you take these ratios seriously, you'd have Pikachu with +1 on Diddy, Rosalina, Ryu, Bayonetta, Fox, ZSS... lol? That would be one hella top tier character.

Rosalina actually has a lot of KO power so I guess it'd make sense.
