also his standing/pivot grab range seem...really bad. Not sure what's up with that.

You should be wowed by his Dtilt and Utilt. Jab is meh. His Ground game is pretty okay mostly because of his Dash IASA (try it!).
Grabs are suboptimal, only used to stop people from dumbly holding shield.

Also I feel like I have to say it but, Cloud's trailer did not make him look as fast as he actually is, god damn.

Utilt is pretty great. I'm not sure what I think of dtilt yet, I was expecting it to reach below the ledge or combo into stuff for a larger window with how much hype it was getting.
Meh jab disappoints me a lot tbh
Also his pummel is..actually pretty good? It's a tad worse than Palutena's, and her pummel is amazing.

Cross Slash is also really cool, such a strong punish for how fast it comes out.
