My opinion of the Pika matchup has gotten worse lately, as he can abuse Mega's poor options of taking back stage control in conjunction with his ledge traps to exert ko pressure. Mega's too slow to punish spaced fsmash too, I think. He's also difficult to kill with anything that's not usmash or a high % throw. I used to think even because Mega won high % battles, but now I'm unsure.

Curious to know your thoughts on the matter.

Diddy, Mario, Fox, and Rosa can all seem bad due to them abusing Mega's bad disadvantage and being good characters, but I'd call them even at the moment... If there is a skill gap, it is magnified both ways in these 4.

Mk is probably bad. Not campy MK, but DA punishing pellets on hit. I haven't labbed a counter to it yet, + a lack of experience for all megas.

Sheik is obvious. It looks unwinnable at times. She bypasses pellets mostly and easily hitconfirms through them sealing half of Mega's game. And then needles forces him to do something.

Wario is also a weird one, because he gets waft and rage but still can't really approach well, but Mega's anti-approach doesn't kill. Iunno.

I think he loses to Marcina, but I'm unsure lately as I've been playing the MU more and powershield>up tilt really destroys the character. He loses to Pit, but it's not terrible because Pit isn't spectacular.

Interesting. I am looking to use Ryu more seriously, as he's always kind of been my "secret best character" due to extensive SF history. And I'm getting tired of not being able to kill with Pikachu. I think Pikachu is really good but the KOs have been mentally exhausting me, and Ryu makes me feel a lot more comfortable.

I think Pika vs. Megaman is in Pika's favor but only slightly. Once Pika gets in, it's hard for Mega to get Pikachu out again, and Pika just has so many options in advantage to wrack up %. KOing is an issue for Pikachu in every matchup, the matchups where he wins, he gets to nab f-smash KOs at the ledge, so I think this is one of those matchups.

Ryu's awesome. His lack of midrange really bothers me though, but not having to work nearly as hard for my Shoryus is really fun at times.

Mega definitely wins the matchup vs Ryu, in the same fashion how he wins vs ZSS and Peach. One mistake by Mega and he gets killed.

it's worth noting though that you can't really Quick Attack much in this MU in neutral
