I do not mind messaging, especially semi-publicly like this. The more people share about Zelda the more her meta develops.

It really depends on the type of recovery I'm edge guarding. This is very early in the match so I haven't found out if Vivith sweet spots every recovery, and Mario's up b can power through Din's very easily.

I put it on the stage to protect my jump to ledge while also protecting the Din. If he got ledge or up b'd to the stage I would still have the Din and a punish. If you put the Din below the ledge you almost always have to detonate it as they recover or they will knock it away.

Fox and Falco are a great example of the two placements. Din on ledge covers phantasm but not fire fox. Detonated Din at ledge covers fire fox but not phantasm it can sometimes but if you miss the detonation it causes the Din to return and you lose your ledge presence.)

You can also condition your opponent into thinking you always set the Din in the same place and then place it further off stage and nab their jump. Din's Fire has a lot of mixup potential with it's weird orbits and the detonation.
