Git an update from SSSSS and he had been slowed down today due to some distractions and such. But he did say that he's currently working on Lark and will tackle Kiwi in quite some time. He aims to complete this in at least some days before October (meaning that it can probably take a little less than a week).

Thanks for the update! BTW, when he says before October, does he mean, both Lark and Kiwi and their palette swaps, or Lark alone will take till October? I really hope I can see it soon.

He means all of them since it won't be just the characters by themselves. So I'm assuming that he is nearly done with all the Lark alts by now. Nonetheless, I can tell the finish product would look great.

Also, FYI, I DON'T have a Twitter at the moment, so I've currently spread Lark's moveset and the concept of Kiwi being an alt. skin of Lark on DeviantArt. Maybe I could show it to SSSSS! Can you tell him my account on DA is superkid123, please?

Thanks! BTW, I forgot to ask you on the PW thread, but who do YOU think would be good voices (US AND JP) for Lark and Kiwi? I noticed you mostly went by MY suggestions, and I don't think I got any preferences from you. (Unless you really agree with me that the people I suggested should be the voices.

I can think of any other voice actors for those two. One Lark in particular being Tara Strong, who's quite the talented star, but I feel that she's a bit too overrated. Normally I would aim for more under the radar or unexpected stars to voice characters. Stephanie Sheh for Kiwi would be nice, but I can can't really imagine her funding that boundary of shy and not being too introverted.

As for Japanese voices, Junko for Naruto would be appropriate given that the series in finally over. She can probably be able to pull of a real adventurous Lark. As for Kiwi, Felicia's current voice actor would be a real fit since they can be suitable for a girl like her. Energetic and wanting to do great on her journey.

Wow! All really great choices! And you're right, I love Tara, but I feel something about her would be too "high-maintenance" for this game. Still, if she was added as the voice of Lark, I wouldn't complain! Also, you have a great point of Stephanie Sheh as Kiwi. She actually seems more "under-the-radar" enough that she'd perfect for Smash!

I mean, we already have voices like Patrick Seitz, Stephanie Koumure, and David Vincent. All of which ironically have co-starred with Stephanie Sheh in various anime roles already! XD

BTW, that's why I personally suggested Janice Kawaye. These days she's also a bit "under-the-radar" in terms of voice acting. (Which still surprises me to this day, no less.) I feel that her cuteness, shyness and energetic voice could provide a good balance for Kiwi.

You know, speaking of Janice Kawaye, I wonder what she does these days and what her life is like. I think I can safely say she has NEVER been interviewed, or been part of a group panel interview, or anything involving a new picture of her or recording of her. It's so weird considering the voice roles she has done over the years. I've always imagined what she's like in front of a camera.

I don't know, the life of a celebrity is as cracked as it can be. There are some that simply loves to talk about their career and see their fans, then there's the ones like Kawaye that is camera shy to the point of avoiding any publicity. Though I agree it that would be nice to know more about Kawaye.

The only known video that actually talks about her is when Quinton Flynn (Sheldon) would talk about how his character acts when interacting with her. Many Japanese actress tend to do the same thing in their home country for privacy reasons or fear of facing violence. That's how things normally go with certain J-Pop groups since they are considered divisive in their home.

Oh, I see. So Kawaye is just a bit camera-shy. Is that all? Well, I guess it explains why no one's seen her in a public thing. BTW, mind checking out the PW thread?
