I'll save my Ganondorf talk for another time. I saw your signature about wavedashing. I actually had a similar idea to it: wavedashing would still be possible from the air to the ground by adding the directional airdodge with the new one, but it could also be performed on the ground via a dodge input in between down and sideways.

I'd just love for wavedashing to be upgraded to a basic ability and not just an emergent one.

It's sort of an in-between the SF dash and the MvC dash as it stands now: some frames of commitment, but free to act. And the distance is still variable the way I have it now.

From what I understand Sakurai's stance on removing wavedash among other things was because he saw them as creating too large of a skill gap between players (ala "Can't Catch Up") as well as being too complex and taxing on the players using them. One could make them easier to do and maybe the gap could be closed a little and help create some form of unity.
