Oh, just so you know, I'm talking about default Pally here.

Hey. I think that Palutena has interesting tools, but she doesn't really stack up to Sheik, Pikachu, Diddy, or other Top/High Tiers without her customs. At this point, I'd say that she's in the bottom 15-20 characters, a.k.a "underdeveloped tier." Characters like Olimar and ROB have advanced at least somewhat in the metagame, whereas default Palutena has really gone nowhere.

I think AeroLink gave up on Palutena. I'm starting to think that without customs she's bottom 5 or so. Pretty bad overall. Sorry if that's disappointing.

B-bottom 5...?

Sigh. It's fine... I played Mario in Brawl and he was pretty bad in that game so I guess I'm used to it. Doesn't feel very good at all, though...

To be fair, bottom 5 in this game is not that bad. The worst character (in my opinion, Swordfighter without customs and default sizes) is still pretty viable overall.

She's still top 5 in customs though, don't let anyone say otherwise!

Well, I appreciate you trying to cheer me up. It's interesting that you think even the worst character has a chance. Most people seem to think that anyone in bottom 10 is a lost cause.

And yeah, custom moves kinda make up for it, I guess... Just wish the dev team made them easier to unlock so they'd become legal sooner.

Customs are looking like they're in good shape. You should go out there and win some tournaments with Palutena!

I'm considering it! Although, I'm far from the best and I don't have much money (it all goes to the house). Working on the former, but I'm not sure the latter is gonna change anytime soon unfortunately. I suppose online tournaments are my best bet for right now, but because of my financial situation my internet is pretty bad, too.

I'd be happy to play you sometime if you want some experience.

Uh... sure. I'm a little shy about playing against strangers, but I do need to get out of my comfort zone and fight more than just my friends.

Alright, whenever you think you want some practice! Entering tournaments is the best way to get better, though. Custom Palutena is amazing; put in some work and you'll do well if you master her tech first.

Okay. What time are you usually available? I'm free almost all the time as I don't do much, so it should be easy to organize matches.

Weekends are usually good times for me, but not this weekend as I'm out of town. Next weekend?
