Vectoring is different to DI in a sense that it allows you to control your knock back. It allows you to live longer and escape combos at higher percentages appereantly. Teching has been in both melee. When you get launched, instead of falling and leaving yourself vulnerable, you can hit r to quickly get up. If you press left or right whilst hitting r you will go that direction.

Pivot cancel allows you to do tilts and smash attacks, grabs and item tosses as you turn around. Not sure how useful it is yet though.
Finally, glide tossing allows you to glide. When you roll with some characters and throw an item immediately, you glide/slide through tur stage. Looks quite cool as well. I heard megaman has it as well. I'll explqin pivot xlcqncel later
