All that being desire, I believe all three hold not only much merit, but that there is much understanding as to why these three have been suggested to be included at this time.

That's exactly how I feel!
I want K. Rool so bad, and not just for the fact that I like his character, but also because most dismiss him as a legible character or think he has no chance thanks to the leak.
As for Ridley, I haven't played much Metroid either, but I think he would be a great addition, plus there's the fact that he has such a huge following.

Then there's Mewtwo, my Melee main. I'd love for him to come back, but I just find the prospect of new characters with new move sets rather than an old one.

Most people, and this is not just on this forum, will follow the common belief. It is not even out of conscious thought. I've let go of my anger towards people with that attitude.

I am all for actual conversation with people in regard to these characters. The bottom line to me is still that they were the most anticipated at the launch of the game, and I think Sakurai brilliantly played them off. Likely will til Wii U (or til the world has the game), to make them delightful surprises, since he is all for surprise. and hype. He wanted them to mean something, not to be 'givens.'

Yeah, I know what you mean. As long as they get in as playable(along with hopefully Bandana Dee, Paper Mario, and Captain Toad)I'll be extemely happy and excited!

That would be awesome. I think things are looking up for Bandana Dee. Honestly, I'd think all the secret newcomers are from the series we already have. I'd say Kirby does not deserve to be over shadowed by the likes of Kid Icarus or Fire Emblem, and should get a new gen character as well.

Most excited for? K Rool. Hands down.
I'd love to see Ridley, but I'm not a big Metroid player. I mostly think would want him as he is an all star, and holds much gravitas. Yet Pokemon is my biggest franchise.
