"Aninymouse" is a name I chose in elementary school. I was bullied a lot and I felt defective and oppressed, and giving myself a new name helped me escape the pain. It's a mixture of three words: anonymous, ninny, and mouse. Anonymous, because I wanted to be able to be left alone by haters; ninny, because I believed I was foolish; mouse, because mice are small and unassuming, but crafty.

One episode in Arthur involved one of the kids attempting to write an anonymous letter, but misspelling the word as A Ninny Mouse, confusing people. I fondly remember the Arthur cartoon so I was amused by your name.
I also use the name A Ninny Mouse in some places I go to (as a reference to that cartoon), so I was also surprised to see you with the same name!

Haha! Wow! I never knew that! I did like the Arthur cartoon, actually, but I didn't see a lot of episodes. I must have missed that one!
There's an old issue of Gamepro magazine that had a fake ransome note for an opossum, signed "Aninymouse," too!
