I'll be honest, it was mostly done for simplicity's sake. I've run a lot of large PM tourneys, and unless you have a custom SSS on every system or a lot of printouts, it's very hard for people to keep track of the legal stages (because most people don't bother to read it in the thread before coming to the tournament). So in my ruleset, it's just the bottom two rows, nice and simple.

I'd be lying if I said it was my absolute ideal stagelist for Project M, but it still strikes a pretty good balance of stage sizes and archetypes imo. Dracula's Castle is popular, but it's just another gigantic stage with minimal platform involvement that makes matches drag out.

Skyworld is unpopular, but it's one of only 2 legal stages (the other being Lylat) that has Melee BF style ledges, where you really have to put effort into sweetspotting. It's an underrepresented niche right now and I'd hate for it to disappear entirely (since Lylat is already an automatic ban for a lot of people).
