Ridley was SO controversial in Brawl that the thought of his inclusion made so many smash fans angry to create their own rediculous set of rules such as "He's too big." Similarly Geno created SUCH a backlash that people had to make "Anti-Geno" fanclubs and created the "Relevancy rule"

I'm not sure if cameos as a summon card would really count. I think really Sakurai wants to put stars of their own games in that appeared on Nintendo platforms.

Sadly the last IP Miyamoto developed was the Wii series. Wii Sports, Wii Play, Wii Music, Wii Sports Resort. The Mii games are the new IP for the Wii generation.
