I actually go to a local weekly (or at least used to; low self esteem has stopped me recently) and played with people there. When I used mega man, I do remember getting some good tips.

You do all seem more willing to help unlike Luigi boards, where it seems like I get a single answer to any question, after about 6 days of waiting. Not to be rude to them or anything.

So I should focus on zoning with Shulk? When I played Mega Man I had to work to make sure enemies never got right next to me except when I needed to punish or kill them. Should I work on the same thing with Shulk?

What about against faster, rushdown characters? Ill admit I've always had a problem with them though, not just when I'm playing Shulk.

What about my dislike at the speed of his moves (particularly the start up)? Is there anyway to get around that, for example me playing differently?

Tbh I do have depression, and my parents have been making me get counseling for about a year now. Should I even bother playing smash with the intention of getting better if I have a mental illness?

How should I play Luigi? Is he more rushdown, spacing, zoning, punishing, what? Because whenever I lose on Anther's (which is often) I'm always told to be more defensive, or more rushdown, or approach more, or more (conflicting idea here). I just want to know what playstyle i should strive for...
