    I have a question for the original poster: did you try GameCube controllers hard wired? Or is it only the Wii Remotes with the issue?

    Correction: this happens in regular Brawl as well. It seems to be an issue with how the WIi U gets the Wii Remote signal... no idea how ot fix.

    I JUST posted this same issue on another thread (http://smashboards.com/threads/directional-input-issue-when-holding.340796/#post-15867240) ! I'd love to know if the turning off of other wireless devices solved the issue for the original poster. SkylerJB, did you ever find a fix?

    Yes, correct. Wii U is all wireless. However, this issue never happens to any other game. Only Smash PM.
