Flames of Pherae: The Roy Video Thread

Sup all. Haven't asked for a video critique in abssolute ages, so this should be fun! I'm a SoCal Roy, maining him since v3.0 came out last January. A few weeks back I had the pleasure of attending a fest hosted by @AznGamer405 and played a bunch of games on stream - I'm hoping to get some...

The Angel's code: Pit and Dark Pit Moveset and Technique Guide (All Important KO%s!)

Hey all! My brother @DJWON discovered an interesting technique that can be implemented by both Pit/DP users, and I've begun to verify it with testing both in game and in practice. If not discovered already, this could be a great addition to the thread: Jump-Cancel Arm (JC SideB) Characters...

    Skype Group?

I'd like to help fix that - I'm busy with classes and work often, but I can surely contribute all the same. Messaged @SoldierSunday , is there anyone else that can add me, though? My name's Vishap, in any case.

What's your favorite Roy color to use?

Always stick with default. (occasionally go with red when running the "PH1R3" tag).

    Roy's Ftilt

The biggest problem I've found with the move is its ending lag, but besides that, I think it's one of the best things to happen to Roy. I most often use it for combo stringing when a enemy with a faster fall speed DI's away from your Fair - they would fall in a perfect Dtilt location, if it...

    Training regimens?

G13_Flux: I see your point - I've been playing a greater variety of opponents recently and most cases show that shield pressure's not too reliable with Roy. Knowing when to go for grabs while the enemy's in shield works wonders half the time, however. (talk about the range... >=] ) Sprawlers...

    Training regimens?

Understood guys, thank you very much. =] I've been making use of the uair string really recently and am so far very pleased with the results. I'm starting to make my use of Roy's toolkit better and better - barring the fact that I'm still not sure how to implement DED as a shield-pressure move...

    Training regimens?

To begin, I had learned most aspects of tech skill a while ago, but very recently started applying it effectively in actual play. For instance, my experience tells me consistently wavedashing for proper and tight spacing, throwing in some mix-ups with aerials and empty hops for good measure...

Improve your gameplay! - Mario Peer Review

GeZ, thanks for the wisdom. I gotta say it was really poetic, and reminded me to always have my fundamentals in mind - especially that of watching and learning the opponent's reactions. That, along with your opinion on how a Mario is most effective, has improved my performance considerably. So...

Improve your gameplay! - Mario Peer Review

Hey all - name's Henry, go by the tag "Vishap." I've been playing and practicing Project M with old high school buddies for around 7 months, and recently started gaining tourney experience here in SoCal. Playing with friends and in tourney has revealed a lot of what i need to work on -...
