Hey there lucario boards! The link boards (all of whom have moved on to AIB) are currently discussing the lucario matchup. Seeing as how most of you probably wouldn't like to make a whole new account on AIB, we can just discuss here.

yeah, AIB is our new batcave basically. Also, kirby can be hit while crouching, yes that is true, but it sure does help a good kirby who knows how to use his miniscule size to his advantage (as if he wasn't short enough).

Link can nullify IC's cg with his trusty bomb and he can space IC so they doesn't even get close. We can zair with a bomb in hand for additional defense and we have a sword to further space. Ice block spam doesnt really work since link's hylian shield just sends them backwards simply by ducking...

Like what other's have said, kirby's grab combo can get you a headstart of damage, but a good Link pulls out a bomb and racks up damage with projectiles as you fruitlessly attemp to grab us. If you choose to attack Link during this time, you will damage us enough so that your grab combo doesn't...

Link should try whenever he can to dodge-> grab ROB's gyros and then either zair, zac, or up throw it as to keep ROB from reusing it for as long as possible. And yeah, if Link loses the first match, he's pretty much done for. ROB's aireals go through the gale i think so using it to defend us...

i never really hated TL's ( used to main them for a month) but i switched back after playing OoT and watching pro-links.

No i'd say link actually has the better spam, but that's just because i know how to create a dome with my link

Pretty much everything has been said as for the matchup but anyways Link is better at killing and can survive longer so long as he is not gimped (pro links get gimped but rarely) and his spam game is on par ith TL. Link will not approach in this matchup otherwise he risks taking ALOT of damage...
