I mean, i think that’s just as likely. Or takes moves from both characters. It’s just that Ninten looks so similar to Ness & has many shared attributes that Ninten as a Ness echo seems like the more likely option.

Hayabusa would be a great addition to Smash. At this point, I see him more likely as an assist in Ultimate given the fact that he hasn’t been as highly requested, but definitely for the future!

I never would have considered Skull Kid before this past direct, but I can totally see him being playable with a moveset based around masks! I wouldn’t be surprised if an Impa echo got announced along with him. It’s been a while since we’ve gotten a new Zelda rep.

I’d love Banjo-Kazooie in Smash! They’d be a perfect fit, and long since overdue. If the rumors about Microsoft working with Nintendo for Smash are true, then I feel like Banjo in Smash would be the first thing Sakurai would want. I could see a Creeper Assist Trophy too.

Sign me up for the cause! Dixie has always been my favorite DK character, and while I was confused following the Direct about her state, I was reminded afterward that Dark Samus wasn’t in Ridley’s trailer either, so Dixie as a Diddy Echo is still a possibility.

There’s so many characters I would love to see in Smash, and Paper Mario is the one with perhaps the most unique potential moveset of them all. Also, more excuses to nostalgia-blind me with TTYD references are always good things.
