I agree. It's important to remember that you don't have to attack as an oos option. Jumping and different kinds of dodging are perfectly good, and not being able to get free damage with an upb or what-have-you isn't the end of the world.

    - He's flashy and popular/fun to watch due to le epic disrespect - He is largely a fundamentals character, yet he still doesnt require a deep understanding of neutral to do well - He is a 'new toy' with some of his attacks, especially the sword smash attacks which are a longstanding fan-service...

All German-language localization of the game refers to PP as a Kämpferin, meaning ‘fighter’ (female). The —in suffix is only used for female titles in German. On an unrelated note, I personally am not sold on Chrom being better than Roy. Having forgiving spacing is nice for sure, but he has...

Seems true. I'm surprised he thinks Lucario's one nerf (to hitstun on Aura Sphere) is big enough to justify dropping the character, but I know he was posting about aura sphere confirms so I guess it's a valuable tool for him.

I agree with this. She (plant is a girl, read the Palutena's Guidance or note the word 'Kaempferin' used in the German info about the character) feels weird when you try to only use her normals, because her specials seem trash when you watch videos of them -- but actually using them, you begin...

here it is on a normal stage, if its easier to understand on FD instead of the wonky training stage.

I will caution right away to not look at the amount of Brawler buffs and say 'wow this is the most buffed character.' Remember that he, being a Mii, has more special moves to buff than other characters, so the volume of buffs isn't the same as they would be for a 'normal' character. I wish they...

I stand corrected on the Bowser Jr. combos, lmao. I really was out here just waiting after the throw, assuming it still had the old endlag. Thank you for going out of your way to enrich everyone's knowledge and prove me wrong @Repli.Cant . Anyway :ultpokemontrainer:, I've been playing PT some...

Bowser Jr. upthrow? "Guaranteeing" anything? Prove it, because I don't believe you. Hell, even if uthrow to an aerial is true, no upair string is getting you a reliable 50%. Not even against the biggest hurtboxes and worst frame data.

Now, people seem to be waiting for nerfs to PT in this thread, not metagame development (in fact it's safe to say PT will be optimized with time as people improve at Squirtle's combo tree and just switching/tech in general) but I agree that there are a lot of characters we assume to be good that...

So Zage just posted this last night after winning a The Grind (an MD/VA weely that typically dwarfs Xanadu tuesdays in entrants) and he's pretty correct, if you ask me. At the very least, the burden of proof is on Belmont advocates to say otherwise, seeing as Pac-Man has a decent stock of...

I can't help but agree with KuroganeHammer when I see the thing about Sakurai regretting listening to the internet with regard to patches. Obviously there were bad decisions peppered in there throughout (epic greninja meme hehexd, some of the nerfs to bad characters, not making a second bayo...

You're right in that when the statistics are analyzed, there must be some factor differentiating Sm4sh Bayonetta from Brawl MK and Melee Fox, but who says it has to be community stigma? That argument underestimates the ability of people to change their character, and also the willingness of...

I've been playing Falco some more and I'm starting to get a little pessimistic about him. I'm sure he's still more viable than Sm4sh, but that's mostly because that is a low bar. He still hurts a lot from how sluggish he is on the ground, and also from how laggy his fair is. The real kicker for...

Your corrections on my post are mostly semantics, but that's my fault for using unclear + poor terminology. By 'boxing' I mostly meant spacing, so sorry about that. I was being hyperbolic when calling fair 'broken' too. Of course it's not actually broken, though it is a very good move. I would...
