I'm just an average joe really. I have played all sorts of games up till now, and as unfortunate as it is to say, I admit I'm getting bored of the newer games that have come out as of late. This is simply because I'm the kind of player that likes games that can challenge my skill and strategy. This is why games like "Dark Souls" and "BloodBorne" appeal to me, they are challenging and mysterious. That's why with all the recent outpour of unoriginal copy/pasted games coming out lately, I feel like I'm getting de-attached from the gaming market.
Smash Bros. on the other hand, provides players with an extremely easy to learn control scheme and combat system, yet still it manages to birth players with superb play styles that (most of the time) require a great degree of skill/"tech" to pull off. It's also the only fighting game of which I know that allows your personal play style to shine the most. Two Marios can play the complete opposite to one another.
This is why I can sink so many hours into Smash! There is a saying I have about Smash Bros. "It's easy to learn, but hard to master." And thats why I love it so much. Also, it's the Nintendo cast duking it out. C'mon now!
